Description

Accountability Safe and legal operation of a commercial motor vehicle. Safe and timely transportation of freight from origin to destination. Proper loading and unloading of freight to ensure safety and minimal risk of damage to cargo and danger to persons. Proper handling and accurate completion of all necessary paperwork related to truck operation and freight movements. Professional representation of the company and the trucking industry through responsible driving. Eligibility Requirements

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to squat/kneel Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50lbs Must be able to sit for several hours at a time while Must be able to perform duties inclusive of driving a commercial motor vehicle including but not limited to grasping/steering; pushing gas pedal, clutch, and brake with appropriate strength; sitting for several hours; reaching in order to shift gears. Must be able to climb in and out of tractor repetitively Must be able to dolly up and down trailer Must be able to open, close, and lock trailer doors Must be able to walk around trailer and stoop to inspect Must be able to write a complete log Must have vision at least 20/40 corrected Must be able to hear a forced whisper from 5 feet without hearing devices Must have no impairment of the hand, arm, foot, or leg that interferes with the ability to operate a commercial motor vehicle.
