Job Summary
RCAC is seeking a student science writer to help identify, develop, and translate research stories into news articles for a general audience. The science writer will write about significant research taking place at Purdue University, specifically regarding users utilizing RCAC services. This position will work directly with our communications team and interact with researchers and staff across Purdue to tell stories through traditional, digital, and multimedia platforms.
Skills, Proficiency & Requirements
Strong writing skills, preferably with a background in newswriting Ability to explain scientific concepts to a general audience Knowledge of AP Style and Purdue style guides preferred Strong organizational skills Social media experience
