Position Summary
The Jefferson Hotel is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Turndown Attendant to join our renowned Housekeeping team. This is a part-time position, working from 5pm to 9pm (Sun - Thurs) and 5pm - 10pm (Fri - Sat), with full flexibility required for any night of the week, including weekends and holidays. Training for this role will be conducted during daytime hours. As a Turndown Attendant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our guests experience the highest standard of comfort and hospitality each evening.
Key Responsibilities Prepare guest rooms for evening occupancy by turning down bed linens, folding back duvets and sheets, and fluffing pillows to create an inviting sleeping environment. Place turndown amenities in guest rooms, such as chocolates or breakfast menus, according to hotel standards. Make beds and refresh linens as needed, ensuring all bedding meets cleanliness and presentation standards. Perform light cleaning and dusting, including emptying trash, removing Room Service dishes and trays, and tidying the room. Provide clean towels and bed linens upon request and replenish guest room amenities as necessary. Close drapes, adjust lighting to evening settings, and ensure the room ambiance is welcoming for returning guests. Retrieve and deliver requested items to guests promptly and courteously. Qualifications
Prior housekeeping or hotel experience preferred but not required; training will be provided. Strong attention to detail and commitment to exceeding guest expectations. Excellent communication skills and a professional, guest-focused demeanor. Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision. Must be fully flexible to work any night of the week, including weekends and holidays. Must be able to work any shift between the hours of 7am-11pm if required for training or business needs. Working Conditions
