CARE House of Oakland County
Family Support Group Volunteer
CARE House of Oakland County, Pontiac, Michigan, United States, 48340
Every Tuesday evening, CARE House hosts a support group for families affected by child abuse-offering them a safe space to share, heal, and connect. While parents meet in a separate session to discuss concerns and challenges, volunteers care for the children in a fun, supportive environment.
As a Family Support Group Volunteer, you’ll:
Play games, lead crafts, or engage in gym activities with children of various ages
Help create a safe, positive space where kids can relax and have fun
Support the overall healing process by giving parents the time and peace of mind to focus on their group session
Dinner is provided
for families, staff, and volunteers from 5:30-6:00 PM, with group activities taking place right after. We are currently looking for
flexible volunteers to fill in when our regular team members are unavailable . This is a great opportunity for someone with an occasional free Tuesday evening who wants to make a meaningful impact. If you enjoy working with kids and want to be a part of a healing experience for families, we’d love to have you join us!
