Job Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the ongoing functionality, safety, and efficiency of the facility's equipment and infrastructure. This role involves performing scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, and supporting the fabrication and modification of production equipment. The technician will work both independently and collaboratively to maintain critical equipment, uphold building integrity, and ensure a productive, safe workplace.

Duties/Responsibilities

Complete and document preventive maintenance tasks on production and support equipment.Troubleshooting and repair of equipment, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.Monitor and manage spare parts, tools, and supply inventory.Maintain the building structure, grounds, and facility utilities.Support the fabrication, modification, and construction of new equipment or production workstations.Ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.Use appropriate PPE.Performs physical work, including moving up to 100 lbs., and working in positions requiring sitting, standing, climbing, crouching, or crawling.

Required Skills/Abilities: Proficient in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, hydraulic, and plumbing systems.Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair capabilities highly preferred.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and specifications.Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, including welders, torches, and electrical test equipment.Familiarity with industrial equipment such as ovens, diaphragm pumps, and centrifugal pumps.Ability to diagnose issues using problem-solving and general engineering techniques.Capable of working independently or collaboratively with internal teams, vendors, and contractors.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation and reporting.Commitment to continuous learning: at least 24 hours of job-related training annually is encouraged.

Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial or facilities maintenance preferred. High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus. Must meet physical requirements of the role

Supervision Normally receives minimal instructions on preventive maintenance tasks or routine repair work, and general instruction from the Maintenance Manager when preparing for projects and major repair work.

Travel Local travel may be required occasionally.
