Job Description Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Rehabilitation Therapy Specialty: Physical Therapy Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 5x8's or possible alternative schedule Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Must hold an active license as a Physical Therapist in the state in which you intend to work Certifications: Maintain and update PT skills and certifications as necessary
Must-Have: - Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs. - Utilize Electronic Medical Record to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries for patient files. - Guide and monitor patient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up. - Supervise PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care. - Communicate with physicians and other persons to ensure quality patient care. - Be responsible for accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up regarding prescriptions, test results, authorizations, etc. - Make sure patients are comfortable and answer questions when necessary. - Work closely with front office staff regarding scheduling and patient follow-up. - Have computer skills necessary to complete job requirements. - Make independent decisions regarding patient care. - Be involved in the business marketing and referral process when necessary. - Be responsible for following privacy policies and procedures. - Comply with OSHA, federal, and state regulations.
Description: Great opportunity for a Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist implements patient rehabilitation programs to help improve patient mobility, function, and strength. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. The position requires physical mobility, including a combination of sitting, walking, and prolonged standing for 8-10 hour workdays. The therapist must be able to lift 50 pounds and assist moving patients with mobility restraints. The position involves bending, lifting, and moving continually during working hours. Employee must be constantly alert for patient safety. Travel is not expected for this position. Position urgency is normal.
