Job Description Our client, a premier Full-Service Architectural, Engineering, and Interior Design firm located in St. Petersburg, Florida, is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Administrator for a full-time position. The Role: The Electrical Construction Administrator will serve as our client's primary on-site representative, managing the critical link between the Firm, the Owner, and the Contractor throughout the construction phase. This role is pivotal in ensuring projects are executed flawlessly from pre-construction through to substantial completion and closeout.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented problem-solver with deep electrical expertise and exceptional communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the main point of contact for all construction-phase communication and coordination.

Attend and lead construction meetings, documenting activities and progress.

Manage the entire request for information (RFI) process, including preparation and response.

Thoroughly review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and product data.

Conduct field observations, evaluate site conditions, and prepare detailed Field Reports.

Develop and issue Architect's Supplemental Instructions (ASIs) and other construction documents as needed.

Evaluate contractor applications for payment and change orders.

Proactively identify and help resolve on-site issues and conflicts.

Ensure strict compliance with contract documents, building codes (including NEC), and company safety standards.

Manage project closeout activities, including the development and completion of punch lists.

Work Location: This is an in-person position based in St. Petersburg, FL, with travel to job sites required.

Requirements A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Several years of demonstrated experience in a similar construction administration role, with a focus on electrical systems.

An expanded knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and associated building codes.

Extensive experience with multi-family, healthcare, ALF/ILF, or Senior Living projects is highly preferred.

The ability to read, interpret, and enforce complex contract documents, plans, and specifications.

Strong working knowledge of construction means, methods, and legal responsibilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project).

Outstanding organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

A professional, positive attitude with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Must be focused, organized, and able to travel to job sites as required by vehicle or plane.

A Certified and Licensed Special Inspector credential in Florida is a significant plus.
