Medical Physicist
to join a high-performing, patient-centered radiation oncology program located in the heart of
central New York . This opportunity supports a well-established cancer center offering advanced therapies and multidisciplinary collaboration in a region known for its natural beauty, cultural richness, and academic medicine. Whether you're looking for a locum tenens assignment, a contract-based role, or an opportunity that may transition to permanent placement, this position offers the flexibility and clinical depth to match your goals. Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive medical physics services supporting advanced radiation therapy Perform dosimetry QA, treatment planning, machine calibrations, and safety checks Collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and radiation therapists Participate in clinical case discussions and ensure regulatory compliance Document care and collaborate within
Epic EMR Clinical Scope
Procedures : SBRT, SRS, HDR brachytherapy, Lutathera, Xofigo, Y-90 Patient Volume : 4050 adult oncology patients daily Coverage Sites : Primary site + nearby satellite center Schedule : Typically 8:00 AM 5:00 PM; flexibility required for occasional early or late coverage due to equipment downtime Call : Minimal (12 times/week, if needed) Qualifications
Completion of a
CAMPEP-accredited residency in Medical Physics
(required) Board Certification
by the
American Board of Radiology (ABR)
(preferred) Valid and active
New York State License
in Medical Physics (required) Experience with stereotactic techniques and radiopharmaceutical therapies strongly preferred Why Consider This Role?
