Compensation
$26 per hour
Job Summary
The Project Engineer (P.E) Intern will support the project team by assisting with various operational tasks while gaining practical experience in business practices and project management.
Main Responsibilities
Participate in project planning sessions to understand project scope, timelines, and deliverables
Assist team members in the execution of project tasks and activities, contributing to project milestones
Prepare for and participate in pre-job and weekly meetings, taking notes on key discussion and action item
Provide updates on project status in weekly meetings, highlighting progress and any challenges faced
Assist with tracking project costs through timesheets, weekly quantities and job cost reports
Assist with maintaining both cost report and billing quantities
Organize and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and correspondence
Keep detailed logs of project activities, including daily reports of work performed and progress made
Scan, index, and organize documents and files for project reference
Other duties as assigned
Education
Must be actively working towards a college degree in engineering or a related field
Skills
Ability to multitask efficiently and effectively and be flexible
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Ability to work under pressure and meet short deadlines and process projects quickly
Basic math skills with the ability to calculate and analyze data
Exceptional attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Thorough and accurate in all aspects of work
Ability to work well with all levels of the organization
Must possess a mindset for making continuous improvements of department processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
