Job Description: Director of Annual Giving Position Overview The Director of Annual Giving is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategies to grow and sustain the organizations base of annual donors. This role oversees all aspects of the annual fundraising program, including donor cultivation, stewardship, and digital campaigns, with the goal of increasing donor participation, retention, and revenue. In a small nonprofit setting, the Director must balance strategic vision with hands-on execution, bringing creativity, adaptability, and strong relationship-building skills. Key Responsibilities
Manage Annual Partners and New Donors Analyze donor data to track performance, identify trends, and adjust strategies for growth Collaborate with leadership, board members, and volunteers to expand the donor base Oversee relationships with annual partners and individual donors contributing $1,000 or more Cultivation & Stewardship Strategies: Implement targeted strategies to strengthen donor relationships, including thank you calls, personalized outreach and customized impact reporting Engagement and Communication: Identify opportunities for donor upgrades, renewals, and long-term relationship growth Qualifications
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, or communications 3+ years of experience in donor relations, stewardship or fundraising Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Experience with One Cause, Network For Good and Excel Passion for the MOSS mission Achieve a 90%+ retention rate for donors giving $1,000 or more Increase the number of donors upgrading to higher giving levels by 10% annually Ensure 100% of major donors and annual partners receive personalized thank you calls and impact reports Launch at least two new donor recognition initiatives per year Pay and Location
Base pay range: $55,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr. This range is provided by Make Our Schools Safe. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience talk with your recruiter to learn more. Seniority level
