Description
- LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA 90003
- Pay:$20 an hour
- MUST be 21 and over, Clean driving record
- Dispatch and routing: Use dispatch software to assign and schedule drivers, create efficient delivery routes, and track drivers in real time.
- Compliance management: Ensure all deliveries and associated documentation, such as logs and manifests, adhere to strict state and local cannabis regulations. This includes verifying age and order limits.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between drivers, customers, and management. This involves providing customers with delivery status updates and relaying information to drivers about routes, traffic, and order requirements.
- Customer service: Answer calls regarding orders and products, and handle any delivery issues, complaints, or special requests in a professional and prompt manner.
- Problem-solving: Manage last-minute order changes, traffic delays, vehicle issues, and other unexpected events that can impact delivery timelines.
- Record-keeping: Enter data into the computer system and maintain accurate records of calls, deliveries, customer information, and inventory.
- Inventory support: Assist with inventory management by tracking products as they are dispatched and ensuring that the online menu is accurate.
- Previous experience: Experience in dispatch, logistics, or delivery coordination is preferred, and cannabis industry experience is a plus.
- Organizational and multi-tasking abilities: The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is essential in a high-volume environment.
- Technological proficiency: Familiarity with computers, tablets, and specialized dispatch, GPS, and point-of-sale software is required.
- Communication and problem-solving skills: Excellent verbal and written communication is needed to coordinate with drivers and customers. Strong problem-solving skills are key to navigating unexpected issues.
- Regulatory knowledge: Dispatchers must be familiar with all state and local cannabis delivery regulations.
- Reliability: The role demands punctuality, dependability, and the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Basic requirements: Must be 21 or older and able to pass a background check in compliance with state regulations.
Primary responsibilities
- Customer interaction: Act as the face of the company during customer-facing interactions. This includes friendly service, answering questions about products, and professionally handling any issues.
- Compliance and verification: Ensure strict adherence to all cannabis regulations, including verifying the customer's age and identity by checking a valid ID.
- Order processing and payment: Confirm order accuracy, collect cash and process other payments, and provide correct change to customers. Drivers must be comfortable handling potentially large amounts of cash and products.
- Secure transport: Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring the secure and discreet transport of cannabis products from the dispensary to the customer.
- Route management: Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes and time schedules, often with the assistance of dispatch or specialized mobile apps.
- Record keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed delivery logs, including confirmation of delivery, customer signatures, and other compliance documentation.
- Inventory management: Verify the contents of each order before departure and confirm accuracy with the customer upon delivery. This may include loading, unloading, and organizing packages.
- Communication: Stay in close contact with the dispatcher or store to provide delivery updates, report issues, and ensure smooth operations.
- Driving requirements: Possess a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and maintain a clean driving record.
- Experience: Previous delivery or courier experience is often preferred, but is not always required.
- Age restriction: Must be of legal age to handle and deliver cannabis products, which is 21 or older in many states.
- Problem-solving: Demonstrate the ability to think quickly, handle unforeseen issues like traffic or customer delays, and resolve problems effectively.
- Attention to detail: Exhibit a high level of accuracy in verifying orders, checking IDs, and handling cash and confidential information.
- Communication: Display strong interpersonal and communication skills for positive customer interactions and effective coordination with the dispatch team.
- Reliability: Possess a high degree of dependability, punctuality, and time management skills to ensure consistent and timely deliveries
