Assist the Manufacturing Operations department in successfully achieving manufacturing goals and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will receive assignments from the Manager of Manufacturing, or an assigned representative, and will be encouraged to contribute ideas and suggestions.
YOUR IMPACT
Support production of fabrication and welding processes
Support processes with troubleshoot automation
Able to develop work instructions
Engage employees to problem solve issues
Perform time studies
Perform workstation/cell analyses to improve productivity and quality
Manage project work assigned by the manager
Provide input for manufacturing fixtures and tooling
Assist with plant layout and workstation design
Learn and use ERP (JDE) manufacturing software
Interests will include manufacturing, welding, robotics, and fabrication
All other duties or projects as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Student working towards a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Welding Engineering Technology, Industrial, Mechanical, or other related Engineering field
Graduation date of December 2026 or later
Willing to travel or relocate to Oshkosh, WI for the Summer of 2026 (relocation assistance provided for those with a permanent address of greater than 50 miles from Oshkosh, WI).
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
Working knowledge or exposure to AutoCAD, CATIA, Creo, or similar CAD system is a plus.
Experience in manufacturing fabrication
Experience in robotics
Experience with Excel
Exposure to Lean and 5S concepts
Pay Range:
$18.00 - $37.00
The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
