Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager
to oversee all aspects of quality systems, regulatory compliance, and product release across our manufacturing operations. This leadership role is critical to ensuring compliance with FDA, Health Canada, and international quality standards, while driving continuous improvements in product quality, safety, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Systems & Compliance
Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems in accordance with
FDA 21 CFR Parts 210/211, MOCRA, ISO, and cGMP requirements .
Ensure all processes meet regulatory standards and internal quality objectives.
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor QA/QC teams across laboratory and production functions.
Oversee accurate batch record review, deviation investigations, and timely product releases.
Testing & Product Release
Manage testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished products to ensure compliance with internal and external specifications.
Audits & Inspections
Lead preparation, hosting, and follow-up for internal and external audits, including
FDA, UL, NSF, and customer audits .
Develop and close
Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA)
plans in a timely manner.
Performance Monitoring & Improvement
Establish and monitor key quality metrics, including OOS, complaints, recalls, first-pass yield, and right-first-time rates.
Identify trends and implement corrective and preventive actions for continuous improvement.
Collaboration & Support
Partner with Operations, R&D, Regulatory, and Supply Chain teams to proactively address quality challenges and support new product launches.
Documentation & Training
Maintain and update SOPs, training programs, and documentation systems to ensure compliance and workforce readiness.
Root Cause & Continuous Improvement
Drive process validation, cleaning validation, risk assessments, and supplier quality management initiatives.
Lead complaint investigations with thorough root-cause analysis and effective CAPA implementation.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related scientific field (advanced degree ).
Experience:
7+ years of QA/QC experience in personal care, cosmetics, OTC, or pharmaceutical manufacturing, with
at least 3 years in a leadership role .
Knowledge & Skills:
Deep understanding of FDA, Health Canada, ISO, and cGMP regulations.
Proven success managing audits, inspections, and compliance programs.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to train and develop teams.
Proficiency with ERP and quality management systems (e.g., ABAS, Visual, MasterControl, or equivalent).
Ability to balance compliance and operational efficiency while promoting a culture of quality and accountability.
