FIC America Corp. is a global Tier 1 automotive components manufacturer centrally located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. We are actively seeking a Stamping Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair a variety stamping machines and equipment. Assist manager with ordering parts, standardizing components, and maintaining inventories.
Essential Job Functions
Perform regular checks or tests on manufacturing equipment for proper operation
Inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair machinery and equipment
Dissemble machinery and equipment and replace defective parts / components
Reassemble machinery and equipment and make final adjustments
Confer with Tool & Die Maker to fabricate tooling parts and components as required
Coordinate with Localization to fabricate tooling parts and components as required
Use a variety of hand and power tools, such as grinders, torches, hammers, and wrenches
Test machines after repair to ensure proper operation
Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment routinely
Order repair parts as needed
Record and maintain data of checks, tests, repairs, and daily reports
Work closely with production personnel on equipment repairs
Complete and satisfactorily pass forklift operator training provided by the company
Follow standard work instructions
Perform other duties assigned
Other Job Functions

Comply with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 procedures and standards
Perform 5-S activities
Requirements:
3+ years of related experience with heavy industrial machines/production machines
High school diploma or equivalent
Technical training; exposure to high-speed equipment
Experience with safe operation of overhead Cranes & heavy loads
Must be able to speak and read basic English to comply with position, Safety, Plant & PPE procedures & requirements
Must be willing to cross-train
Must be able to work company’s required overtime
Must comply with FIC’s Attendance and Punctuality Policy
Pay Range
$27/hour - $33/hour, based on qualifications and experience
Additional Compensation
We operate two shifts and 2nd Shift employees are given a $1/hour shift differential

Stamping Components - We utilize numerous stamping presses ranging from 150 tons to 2500 tons. This includes Blanking, Manual, and Transfer presses.
