Providence Women's Health Services in Oregon is seeking a committed and visionary Medical Director to lead clinical excellence, drive quality improvement, and guide strategic development for the obstetrical practice at Providence Women's Clinic Westside locations in Portland, Oregon. This role includes oversight of Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs), advocacy for midwifery integration, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, equitable, and patient-centered obstetrical care. Part-time at 0.2 FTE
Board-certified OB/GYN
Minimum of 3-years of clinical experience in obstetrics
Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and team-based care.
Experience working with or supervising CNMs strongly preferred
Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the obstetrical program, ensuring alignment with Providence's mission and values.
Lead quality and safety initiatives, including review of clinical outcomes, sentinel events, and performance metrics.
Supervise and support Certified Nurse Midwives, fostering a collaborative and respectful practice environment.
Advocate for the CNM program, including strategic growth, integration into care models, and professional development.
Collaborate with nursing, administrative, and physician leadership to develop and implement evidence-based protocols and policies.
Represent the OB program in system-wide initiatives, committees, and external partnerships.
