Location:

Positions available in Fontana and El Monte (Preference for El Monte, some flexibility with Fontana) Classification:

Full-Time | Hourly Schedule:

9/80 schedule, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pay Range:

$82,680 - $109,636 annually Benefits:

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Assistant Field Engineer I observes and inspects construction and installation of water production, treatment, storage, and distribution facilities. This role prepares reports, reviews submittals, performs design calculations, and coordinates with contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies to ensure projects meet standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities Observe and inspect construction progress for plant improvement and facilities projects. Prepare daily construction progress reports and maintain accurate field notes. Review and process project submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs. Perform design calculations and review project plans, schedules, and specifications. Monitor and update construction schedules. Conduct construction field surveys for accuracy and quality control. Prepare and process change orders as needed. Coordinate inspections, field changes, and contractor schedules. Maintain compliance with company standards, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, agencies, vendors, and utilities. Subject to 24-hour on-call status as required. Job Requirements

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Experience:

Recent Graduates Accepted!!!

Must have a minimum

B average

and provide school transcripts. If pursuing or planning to pursue

EIT certification , highly preferred. Otherwise,

0-3 years maximum

civil engineering or construction experience.

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of construction standards, soil conditions, storm water regulations, and safety practices. Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and scheduling tools. Other Requirements:

Valid California Driver's License with acceptable record. Preferred Certifications:

State of California Water Resources Control Board Division of Drinking Water Grade 1 Operator certificates (Water Treatment/Water Distribution). Civil Engineers from the following universities are strongly encouraged to apply:
