Job Title: Wastewater Engineer Job Description
Lead multi-disciplinary teams to provide study, planning, design, construction administration, and start-up services to water and wastewater treatment utilities in Tennessee, as well as in Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina as needed. Develop necessary deliverables such as engineering calculations, equipment sizing/selections, technical specifications, reports, cost estimates, and schedules for each project. Employ appropriate design methods to meet relevant standards, manage projects with high-quality work, and ensure on-time and on-budget delivery to achieve target profitability and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Coordinate with leadership on staffing and workload throughout the entire project development.
Conduct quality assurance and quality control of formal documents, ensuring accuracy of data, information, and calculations.
Work directly with clients, maintaining open and detailed communication with clients and team members.
Assist in proposals, business development, and other marketing efforts as needed.
Essential Skills
Civil engineering expertise in wastewater and water systems.
Proficiency in software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and Microstation.
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
15+ years of experience with municipal or industrial water/wastewater systems.
Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Tennessee, preferably also in Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Substantial technical background and experience in water or wastewater treatment plant design.
Active engagement in professional and industry organizations.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Working knowledge of technical specifications.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Work Environment
This position requires a local candidate or willingness to relocate to Nashville, TN. The role involves working with advanced design software and collaborating with a diverse team of professionals.
