We're looking for a high-energy-focused Senior Process Engineer to support our team in Greenville, South Carolina. Join us, and you'll have the chance to work on projects including state-of-the-art facilities for clients in diverse markets such as specialty chemicals, industrial fermentation, sustainable fuels, photovoltaic cells and hydrogen. You'll be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks as you gain familiarity with the client's expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. You work with a multi-discipline, highly interactive team to establish a process design basis, develop an optimized process, create calculations, and generate process drawings. Your role keeps our company connected, and we'll support you with what you need to be successful.

This position will:

Serve as subject matter expert (SME) of designs for the oil and gas and alternative fuels/energy industries

Perform conceptual and detailed designs for diverse industries, with emphasis on the oil and gas and alternative fuels/energy industries

Use best practices and industry knowledge to solve complex engineering problems

Interface with other disciplines, project management, and the client to provide fully coordinated projects

Perform quality reviews on designs performed by others

Mentor junior engineers on basic engineering applications and principals

Participate in the development of proposals, budgets, and schedules for process-specific work

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering

At least 10+ years of experience in engineering design in the oil and gas and the alternative fuels/energy industries

Minimum 20+ years of experience in engineering design as a facilities/plant engineer or as consulting engineer

Ideally, you'll also have:

Working knowledge of ASPEN Plus, ASPEN Batch, and/or PRO/II

Experienced user of PipeFlo (Professional and Compressible), AFT Fathom, and HTRI

Experience with relief devices calculations, including complex cases

Familiarity with unit operations including, but not limited to, Gasification; Syngas Production/Handling; Methanol/Ethanol Production/Handling; Distillation, Evaporation, Centrifugation, Drying, Solids Handling; and Specialty Gas Handling.

Experience as a functional lead for a team of multiple individuals

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong communication skills both verbal and written

Forward-thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contributing with innovative ideas

Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams

Willingness to travel

Professional Engineer license a plus
