A leading food manufacturer in Bartlett, IL is seeking a skilled
Ammonia Technician
to join the 3rd shift team. This role is critical in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of industrial refrigeration systems. Monitor, operate, and maintain ammonia refrigeration systems.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on refrigeration equipment, compressors, condensers, pumps, and related systems.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control issues related to refrigeration.
Maintain accurate logs of system operations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental standards including PSM (Process Safety Management) and OSHA regulations.
Respond to emergencies and alarms related to ammonia systems.
Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
1+ year of hands-on experience
working with ammonia refrigeration systems (required).
Understanding of PSM, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
Ability to work independently and on a team in a fast-paced food production environment.
Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
Willingness to work 3rd shift and consistent overtime.

Pay up to $35/hour
based on experience.
