Role: Sterile Processing Technician

Are you meticulous and dedicated to patient safety? As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of care. Your responsibilities will include the efficient and meticulous decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment, utilizing various methods such as ultrasonic cleaning, steam sterilization, and ethylene oxide (EtO) sterilization. You'll meticulously inspect instruments for damage and proper function, assembling them onto surgical trays according to precise specifications and aseptic techniques. You'll also be responsible for assembling and preparing surgical packs and trays, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.

Job Requirements

Experience/ Licensure/Certification:

Graduation from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management Course (preferred) and one year of related work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities preferably in an operating room acute care hospital or central services department preferred.

Current certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) by the International Association of Health Care Central Service Material Management (IAHCCSMM) at hire or within six months of date of hire; OR

Current certification as a Certified Sterile Processing Distribution Technician (CSPDT) by the Certification Board for Sterile Processing.

Pay Range

$25.05 - $37.97 /hour
