Location: Muscatine, IA (ADI) - Filling industrial - Dry-ice
How you will contribute
Airgas is the largest supplier of dry ice, with production plants nationwide to provide a secure supply. The company serves key industries including universities and labs, delivering quality, reliability, and service to support dry ice and cold shipping needs.
Responsibilities
- Loads and packages dry ice on a daily basis in accordance with quality standards. Knows and complies with all safety and quality policies and procedures.
- Clean-up functions including, but not limited to, sweeping, washing, painting, trash removal and pick-up.
- Other duties as required. Incumbents are expected to follow any other reasonable instructions and perform related duties as required by their supervisor. Performance of this job in a safe manner and in keeping with Airgas policies is a condition of employment.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Experience: One (1) year experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; compute rate, ratio, commissions, proportions, and percents.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Able to read and write; able to understand and follow the direction of supervisors.

- Must be in good physical condition. Primary function involves routine lifting and manipulation of dry ice blocks ranging from 5 to 60 pounds.
- Work may require standing, stooping, crouching, or bending.

- Unconditioned work space; PPE required (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes). Dry ice is extremely cold; gloves must be worn when handling dry ice.
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- Safe operation in a noisy environment with elevated CO2 vapor. Shift work required.
