Overview
Seeking to build a new team to support B2B application development. This position is remote and open to the continental United States. Must be able to work on W2. Pay: $50-$70/hour, based on experience. W2 Contract. Currently scheduled for 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Write cloud-native software for the development of B2B (enterprise) products for the use of our clients.
- Be a strong individual contributor within a development team, taking the lead on specific technical development components and influencing product design and technical architectures.
- Deliver mature, well-tested software that meets high standards for maintainability, adaptability, scalability, and security.
- Contribute code and participate in code reviews; facilitate breaking down user stories into technical tasks; help manage the process by which code is delivered and its quality.
- Provide advanced debugging and support for production/live software deployments as needed.
- Communicate technical and delivery risks to the team and escalate to management when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree a plus.
- 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
- Experience building B2B and consumer-quality products, enabling business capability and objectives through technology.
- Strong programming skills in Python and TypeScript.
- Experience with Flask and React frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and No-SQL databases.
- Experience implementing cloud-native software solutions on AWS, Azure, and/or GCP, with hands-on experience debugging complex distributed systems using cloud-native observability tooling; cloud-native architecture design a plus.
Additional Information
You will be an active learner, identifying new open source libraries and approaches to solve complex problems, and will have the opportunity to learn new programming languages to meet technical requirements. You will leverage agile engineering practices to model ideal participation within agile teams and contribute to improving engineering practices.
You will also contribute code, participate in code reviews, and help manage the process by which code is delivered and its quality. You may be asked to provide advanced debugging and support for production deployments and to communicate risks to the team and management as appropriate.
