General Statement of Duties/Supervision About Tumwater Valley Golf Course The City of Tumwater owns and operates a championship caliber golf course, located in the beautiful Tumwater Valley.

Numerous vantage points throughout the golf course offer unique views of the Deschutes River and Mt Rainier. Golfers and staff alike enjoy the frequent sightings of native wildlife, making each day at TVGC a truly unique experience.

We are seeking enthusiastic, hardworking individuals to assist in the maintenance and operation of the golf course for the 2025 season. This position is ideal for those who are passionate about the game of golf or are interested in a career in golf course maintenance Essential Job Duties

Job Responsibilities

Show up for work ready and prepared for the day at predetermined time.

Be able to work weekends and holidays, mornings and evenings as business demands, summer start times may be as early as 4:00 AM.

Maintain effective communication with fellow team members and the guests.

Ensure a safe work environment by following all safety rules and wearing appropriate safety equipment as outlined in the onboarding documents.

Complete required job duties in the most efficient and productive manner.

Assist in maintaining a clean environment including picking up trash in visible areas and eliminating clutter.

Uphold a reliable and responsible work ethic with the ability to follow directions both verbal and written.

Ability to maintain focus on job with a sense of ownership in job quality.

Ability to safely and properly operate blowers, weed eaters and other small equipment.

Ability to safely and properly operate mowers and light utility vehicles.

Changes cup and tee placements in accordance to the set up procedures.

Digs holes and trenches in order to repair and maintain irrigation systems.

Assist in project work including turf repair and extensive bunker maintenance.

Performs various landscape tasks including maintaining flower beds, raking, planting, pruning trees, cutting plant material, and removing noxious weeds.

Check for tire inflation, leaks in hydraulic lines, check oil, gas, and hydraulic fluid levels of equipment being used before leaving the maintenance facility.

Return all equipment cleaned to its designated location

Promptly report any equipment issues. Selection Criteria

Minimum Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age with a valid Washington State Driver's License. Must be able to successfully pass a background check. Work Environment

May be required to work nights, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Required to stand, walk, or operate machinery for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Required to perform physical labor for extended periods of time. Required to work outdoors in all types of weather. Hours of Work:
