Location:

Houston, TX (Remote-based, must reside locally)

Reports To:

Sales Director / General Manager

The Opportunity:

We’re representing a

growing, asset-based third-party logistics provider (3PL)

with operational hubs and fleets in

Houston, Savannah, and Norfolk .

Unlike typical brokers or non-asset players, this company owns key infrastructure: Asset-Based Drayage Fleets Warehousing/Transloading Facilities Truck Brokerage Nationwide International Freight Forwarding (NVOCC) Customs Duty Services They’ve built the foundation. Now, they’re looking to

expand their revenue

and

penetrate underutilized service lines .

As part of a strategic growth initiative, they are seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial

Field Sales Representative

to join their expanding sales team. This is a unique chance to sell a broad range of logistics services to importers, exporters, freight forwarders, and cargo owners moving containerized freight through key ports.

Truck Brokerage

(OOG, Flatbed, Dry Van) Customs & Duty Services NVOCC / International Forwarding Warehousing (with major expansion in Houston in 2026) Asset-Based Drayage - already strong, with room for growth What You'll Do:

You’ll own

new business development

in the Houston region and beyond:

Sell across

drayage, transloading, warehouse, brokerage, and international

lines. Focus on

importers/exporters, freight forwarders, BCOs, and brokers . Highlight ROI

for customers (cost savings on demurrage, per diem, etc.). Serve as

primary relationship manager

for new clients you onboard. Work directly with ops and leadership to

shape offerings

based on customer needs. To be successful here, you’ll need:

7-10+ years in logistics field sales

(trucking, freight, intermodal, warehousing). Strong

working knowledge of port drayage, transloading, and forwarding . Ability to

travel ~50% , primarily in the region. Proven track record of

building and closing deals . Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset

- this isn’t a sit-and-wait role. Compensation & Benefits:

Location & Work Arrangement:

This role requires residency in the

Houston metropolitan area . The position is primarily remote but includes local travel and visits to customers and company facilities.
