Statement of Work (SOW) for Contingent Labor Request

This position will provide Quality Assurance duties for MEDS, MMIS, MMRS, and RMMIS systems projects. The Mainframe Quality Assurance team is a combination of Clemson information technology professionals and experienced consultants, and we are seeking individuals who are highly productive, very flexible, and can work effectively in an environment where ambiguity is common. Team members are expected to contribute with minimal supervision and be self-motivated. The project demands individuals who are strong collaborators, who want to make a positive contribution to the State of South Carolina and can understand top-level goals and objectives and drive toward them.

This position is open due to ongoing projects/tickets in progress by MITS/DHHS as well as upcoming projects next year e.g. DASH, translator upgrade etc. What types of staffing challenges or headaches have you experienced in the past?
Resumes that include extensive details for candidates with limited actual experience. Especially, with candidates who may have participated on "many" projects but were not required to implement a project from start to finish or provide significant contribution to the project. Candidates who have very little QA/Testing Experience, a lot of development experience. Candidates unable to prepare and deliver a coherent presentation as part of the interview process. This position requires excellent communications skills including effective oral and written communication. This position will perform Quality Assurance (QA) Requirements and support User Acceptance (UA) testing of software coding changes to Medicaid Systems Related data. Testing of changes will include testing with the USERS and external healthcare providers and trading partners as Needed. THIS PROJECT REQUIRES interfacing with other agencies and Other Internal Systems. Daily Duties / Responsibilities: ** This is a Quality Assurance Tester Position, Not a Programmer, BA, or Project Manager position.** Work collaboratively with Project Team to test coding changes. Duties include creation of test scenarios, running of tests, analysis of test results, resolution of differences in actual and expected test results and working with SCDHHS to support User Acceptance testing. Communicate effectively in both written and spoken communication. work collaboratively with Clemson staff and other contracted staff. Required Skills (rank in order of Importance): Mainframe, MVS COBOL, JCL, Software Testing, Creation of Test Scenarios Soft skills Required: Effective Communication Skills (written and oral), Adaptability, Flexibility, Self-motivation, Problem Solving, Analytical Thinking, Time Management, Ability to work effectively in a stressful environment, TEAM WORK Preferred Skills (rank in order of Importance): CA-ADS, SQL, Serena ChangeMan or other change control tools, Use of testing tools, medicaid (MMIS) or claims processing experience Required Education: BACHELOR DEGREE and experience in Quality Assurance Testing.
