We are now hiring a Nursing Supervisor to join our team. We offer competitive wages. We are seeking a Nursing Supervisor who is passionate about leading a team and caring for residents and families. We encourage vaccine mandates, but we accept religious and medical exemptions.
Position Summary:
The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for coordinating total customer care. The role involves supervisory and professional work in directing and coordinating all nursing units. The individual must have advanced training and broad nursing experience, including supervisory duties, administrative ability, knowledge of training techniques, and the ability to adapt techniques and procedures to unusual situations. The work is performed according to standards of professional nursing practices, facility policies, rules and regulations, and State and Federal standards. Responsibilities/Accountabilities: The Nursing Supervisor verifies daily staffing and redistribution as necessary. The Nursing Supervisor makes rounds in the morning and at night to assess residents' conditions, paying special attention to critically ill residents. Ensures that each resident's nursing care plan is followed. Performs medication passes and/or direct resident care as needed. Responds to all emergencies throughout the shift. The Weekend Nursing Supervisor reviews incident and investigative reports for accuracy and completeness. Performs other duties as requested. Specific Educational/Vocational Requirements: The Nursing Supervisor must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing. Experience in the nursing field, especially in geriatrics. Supervisory experience in long-term care is required. Job Skills: Thorough knowledge of nursing techniques and practices. Knowledge of medications, proper dosages, and expected results. Ability to coordinate and supervise nursing functions effectively. Ability to interact positively with personnel, residents, families, visitors, government agencies, and the public. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English, which may be technical. Ability to recognize symptoms and make quick decisions in emergencies. Ability to train staff in work procedures and organize training sessions. Must provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test.
