Job Description

Join our team as a Preventative Maintenance Technician where you'll primarily work on plastic injection machines. This is a first-shift position from 7 am to 3 pm, with a contract of six months that holds the potential for permanent employment based on performance. The role involves working every other weekend with opportunities for overtime during the week.

Perform all preventative maintenance tasks and support maintenance technicians with machine downtimes.

Provide technical support to the Maintenance & Engineering Departments.

Integrate all phases of electronic/automated equipment installation, updates, and repairs.

Participate in continuous improvement processes and equipment upgrades.

Document all work performed on equipment accurately.

Work on automated robotic machines and plastic mold injection machines.

Edit and troubleshoot PLCs using input and outputs; fix and replace hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, and cables.

Work with ABB 5, Slick 500, 5000, and Compact Logix PLC versions.

Utilize hydraulic schematics and blueprints.

Perform 75% electrical work and 25% mechanical work.

Attend changeover meetings for project updates and assignments.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 3 years experience performing preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.

Strong hydraulic and pneumatic repair experience.

Experience working on automated machines.

Possession of a full set of personal tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience working with hydraulic schematics and blueprints.

Familiarity with PLC systems and HMI controls.

Work Environment

Work within a Tier 1 manufacturing facility specializing in plastic injection, producing components like external windows, sunroofs, and sliding windows for major automotive brands. The facility spans approximately 100,000 square feet, featuring 9 presses, over 30 assembly robots, and 3 new cells equipped with additional robots. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Holland, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
