About the Role:
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with psychiatrists, medical doctors, nurses, and social workers to provide comprehensive care. You'll use your clinical expertise to conduct assessments and design therapeutic interventions that address the functional barriers caused by mental illness. Your work will directly support patients in developing essential skills, including:
Behavioral and Social Skills Training:
Empowering patients to navigate social interactions and manage their emotions effectively. Sensory Modulation:
Helping individuals understand and respond to sensory input in a healthy way. Activities of Daily Living:
Providing practical training in life skills to improve independence and self-sufficiency. What We're Looking For:
Required: A current license as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Utah.
Preferred: Experience working with individuals with mental illness. Experience or a demonstrated interest in working with patients in the justice system. Experience with adult or geriatric patients, including those with complex medical needs. Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to share clinical insights with various team members and educational backgrounds. A proactive and adaptable approach to patient care, with the ability to prioritize needs and meet deadlines.

The hospital environment requires a focus on safety. All staff are trained in de-escalation techniques and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for both patients and staff.
