Certified Medical Assistant - Contract Opportunity

Shift:
Monday-Friday, 40 hours/wk. Pay Rate:
Up to $21/hr (based on experience) About the Role:
Amergis Staffing is partnered with a highly respected healthcare facility in Wareham, MA, seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join their team on a contractual basis. This role is essential in supporting providers and managing both clinical and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures Perform phlebotomy and administer injections (training provided if needed) Manage patient interactions with professionalism and compassion Support billing, prior authorizations, and payment reconciliations Utilize EMR systems and Microsoft Office tools effectively Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Medical Assistant Certification required Min. 1 year of experience as an MA in a fast-paced medical office 1 year of phlebotomy experience required Prior experience administering injections preferred (training available) Knowledge of billing processes and prior authorizations Experience in customer service, behavioral health, or healthcare settings Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and EMR systems Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days Why Join Us?
