The Assistant Director of Admissions, Recruitment and Access performs duties relevant to the recruitment, admission and counseling of students, resulting in the achievement of enrollment goals established by the university. Position shares with all other admissions officer position common responsibilities: representing the university to all interested constituencies, reviewing admissions applications, managing recruitment and other duties. This position also has additional duties related to diversity, coordination, and leadership.

Job Duties:

Manage an assigned recruitment territory, which includes independent travel to visit with students, parents, and counselors in their territory Meet, speak with and counsel prospective students, their parents and/or their guidance counselors to explain pertinent admissions policies and procedures; advise on credentials; answer questions on academic programs and campus life. Represent the college/university to the general public through scheduled presentations on campus, at secondary schools, professional organizations, and through participation in college fairs and other college programming. Conduct group information sessions that promote and explain the admissions process and the university. Perform essential and necessary duties to develop and maintain relationships with constituencies: program evaluation, email and written correspondence, telephone communication, etc. Seek to establish collaborations with on and off-campus organizations and offices that focus on the educational advancement of multi-cultural or under-represented students. Schedules meetings and appointments with high schools, students and other constituencies as well as makes hotel, rental car and other travel arrangements. Collaborate with Diversity Program Liaison on off-campus programming focused on diversity recruitment. Use data and research to understand market and student behaviors and inform recruitment strategy within assigned recruitment territory Track progress toward established enrollment goals within recruitment territory. Independently read, review, evaluate and process applications for admission and rule on admittance within established guidelines Track progress and meet established application review deadlines and goals. Participate in the development of admissions policies/procedures Collaborate Student Engagement Team - Chloe, Group Visits and Special Populations Program Coordinator as well as the Senior Assistant Director of On Campus and Virtual Platform serve as liaison for Ambassadors Program (five Diversity Ambassadors, one from each college) Develop volunteer program for notecard writing to admitted students Develop volunteer Shadow Program for admitted students Develop volunteer Tour Guide program for Discover UNH, Spring Forward, etc Build relationships with the DSC Attends weekly student organization meeting Schedule Middle School visits and MC Small Group visits in collaboration with Programming Team Collect data for each event and create an end of the year report Contribute to admissions planning, staff supervision, and/or general office management Supervision of support staff and/or student admissions representatives, as assigned. Assist in staffing of other admission events and programs, as assigned. Participation in other working groups/committees. Other tasks as assigned Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and four years of experience in educational counseling/ administration or Master's degree in counseling or related field and two years of experience in educational counseling/administration. Requirements:

Demonstrated commitment and experience working with diverse populations (race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, socio-economic status) Valid driver's license is required Significant evening and weekend work required. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Excellent personal computer skills required. Preferred Qualifications:
