January 18, 2026 Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated
Patient Care Technician
to provide direct care to dialysis patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to patient safety, while maintaining accurate documentation and supporting all aspects of dialysis treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct patient care as assigned and document all treatment-related information. Assist licensed nurses with pre- and post-dialysis assessments and documentation. Monitor and record dialysis treatment parameters on
Dialysis Flow Sheets . Report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse or physician. Support and follow emergency operational procedures. Initiate
basic CPR
measures in the event of cardiac or pulmonary arrest. Respond promptly to emergencies related to dialysis treatment. Required Experience & Education:
High school diploma or GED required. Previous patient care experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred, but not required. Must successfully complete a
hemodialysis training course . Must successfully complete
CPR certification . Education in physical sciences or laboratory techniques preferred. Required Skills:
Patient care support Documentation accuracy Emergency response (CPR) Preferred Skills:
Dialysis treatment familiarity Healthcare setting experience Strong observation and reporting skills Additional Skills:
Support of dialysis procedures Assisting with pre/post-assessments Responding to patient emergencies
