We are seeking a highly technical and strategic
Workday Integrations Architect
to lead the design, development, and maintenance of integrations between Workday and internal/external systems. This role will serve as the technical authority on Workday integrations, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that support business operations across HR, Finance, and other enterprise functions.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Workday integration technologies and frameworks, a strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities: Design and implement scalable integration solutions using Workday tools such as BIRT, DOCS, Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and REST/SOAP APIs. Define integration architecture standards, best practices, and governance models. Evaluate and recommend integration strategies for new Workday modules and third-party systems. Lead the development and deployment of complex integrations, including custom Workday Studio integrations. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Ensure integrations are optimized for performance, reliability, and maintainability. Monitor and troubleshoot integration issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal business disruption. Maintain documentation for integration designs, configurations, and operational procedures. Support Workday releases and updates by assessing impact on existing integrations and implementing necessary changes. Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to align integration solutions with business needs. Translate technical specifications from banking, benefits and other integration partners into code. Lead integration-related projects, initiatives, testing efforts, assist with cutover, go-live planning, data migration and system upgrades. Ensure integrations comply with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements. Implement and maintain secure authentication and authorization mechanisms for data exchange. Minimum Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Economics concentration or a related field. 7+ years of experience in enterprise application integration, with at least 3-5 years focused on Workday. Proven experience with Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, and Workday Web Services (REST/SOAP). Technical Skills
Strong understanding of XML, XSLT, JSON, and web service protocols. Experience with middleware platforms (e.g., Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, Informatica) is a plus. Ability to build new Workday integrations and support existing integrations. Familiarity with Workday security models and data structures. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) is a plus. Soft Skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional technical initiatives in a fast-paced environment Preferred Certifications:
Workday Integration Certification (Studio, Core Connectors, etc.) Workday Pro or Workday Architect credentials are a plus.
MD Salary:
$195-$205k. Commensurate with experience and location. Does not include bonus or long term incentive eligibility (if applicable).
