Your compassion and support can make a real difference in the lives of seniors who need assistance. We are looking for dedicated individuals to join us as Care Companions to help our elderly community live comfortably and safely in their own homes.
At Home Instead, we offer essential non-medical services that empower seniors to maintain their independence while addressing the challenges of aging with warmth and dignity.
As a Care Companion, your responsibilities will include:
Providing companionship and engaging conversation
Assisting with light housekeeping and meal preparation
Offering medication reminders and helping with appointment scheduling
Supporting personal care needs such as grooming and bathing
Assisting with toileting and incontinence care
Caring for clients with Alzheimer's and Dementia
Before you start, all Care Companions will participate in our specialized training program focused on personal care. This training will equip you with the skills needed to confidently assist clients in achieving their emotional, physical, and mental well-being.
To become a Care Companion, you should meet the following requirements:
Genuine respect and care for seniors and their homes
Friendly and effective communication skills
Demonstrated reliability and trustworthiness
Ability to pass a criminal background check, DMV check, and drug screening
Availability to work at least 20 hours per week and 2 weekend shifts per month
