Volunteer - Child Care

OUR MISSION We are a community-based non-profit that works to equip and empower people to chart their course out of poverty by providing weekly education and mentorship focused on poverty alleviation. We foster positive relationships by intentionally creating relationships that bridge socioeconomic lines. The Partners community meets regularly on Tuesday nights to build a supportive community, and to do the hard work required to achieve our participants' goals for independence, through curriculum that targets financial sustainability and overall life improvement. Many of our participants have children. Thus, we are looking for adults who would be willing to volunteer their time to watch the children of our participants. Within this capacity, volunteers will support the youth of our program through curriculum and community building targeted at helping the youth to navigate their own future while also building skills for their success. The ages of our youth span from toddler to teenagers. Some of the teens in the group are employed as childcare leaders so that they can gain skills in childcare and build their resumes. Thus, adult volunteers will be supporting our teens as their mentors and allies. We look forward to working with those committed to ending the cycle of poverty through community building and education.
