Job Title: Accountant III
Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Accounting Management and support team members in monthly close and reporting processes
Prepare month-end close and ad hoc journal entries, calculations, analysis, and reporting for complex GAAP accounting transactions
Reconcile complex general ledger accounts, research variances, and resolve discrepancies
Analyze general ledger accounts to ensure proper accounting treatment and apply necessary monthly accrual adjustments
Prepare accounting records and reports in alignment with GAAP, best practices, and internal policies
Work independently and as a team resource; serve as a subject matter expert
Perform various accounts payable functions
Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, including cash flow analysis
Conduct variance analysis comparing financial results to historical and expected figures
Create and prepare management reports; run ad hoc calculations and analysis as needed
Demonstrate advanced problem-solving and resolution skills
Support accounting projects; document and follow through on recommendations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project initiatives and accounting matters
Assist with preparation of audited financial statements, footnotes, and external reporting
Contribute to budget, forecast, ALCO, and regulatory reporting processes
Participate in financial and operational audits and regulatory exams
Identify and implement continuous process improvements
Provide consistent and timely updates to manage expectations
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration (Accounting emphasis)
CPA preferred
Experience:
5+ years of financial accounting experience or 2+ years of public accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting concepts
Knowledge & Abilities:
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Strong initiative and ability to work independently or collaboratively
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
Strong written and verbal communication
Effective collaboration across departments and management levels
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
