Overview
Position: Temp Senior Accountant
Company: Confidential | Established Fashion Organization
Location: Los Angeles, CA 90013
Pay Rate: $45 / hr
Our client, an established organization in the fashion and retail sector, is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support their accounting operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes
- Analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, as needed
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Support internal and external audits
- Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making
- Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and a strong sense of integrity
Preferred Experience
- Experience in industries such as retail, manufacturing, or professional services
- Familiarity with multi-entity or international accounting
- Previous experience in public accounting is a plus
