This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, analytical professional who enjoys variety in their work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to be part of a collaborative, growth-focused team. With new locations opening each year, this is a prime opportunity to join a high-energy team and make a significant impact.

As Senior Accountant, you’ll be hands-on in all aspects of financial reporting and analysis — from preparing GAAP-compliant financial statements to partnering with operations leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. You’ll manage multi-state tax compliance, mentor one direct report, and help shape the financial processes that will scale with our rapid expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP
  • Conduct detailed variance analyses and identify trends, cost drivers, and opportunities for improvement across multiple locations
  • Support budgeting and forecasting by providing historical analysis, trend models, and store-level profitability data
  • Oversee all aspects of the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy, ensure entries are supported, and adhere to internal controls and franchise standards
  • Assist in maintaining and improving the chart of accounts and coding structures
  • Monitor daily bank activity, prepare cash position reports, and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting to ensure payroll, vendor, and capital obligations are met
  • Collaborate with operations to improve in-store cash handling and deposit processes
  • Prepare and file multi-state sales & use tax, personal property tax, and real estate tax returns
  • Manage escheatment (unclaimed property) compliance and maintain a tax compliance calendar
  • Coordinate with external CPA firms on income tax filings and audits
  • Lead and mentor one direct report, providing coaching and professional development
  • Partner with operations leaders on financial matters related to new store openings, remodels, and labor optimization
  • Drive process improvement initiatives, including automation, system enhancements, and improved financial workflows

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; multi-unit restaurant, retail, or franchise experience highly preferred
  • Strong GAAP knowledge, financial reporting, month-end close, and reconciliation skills
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas) and experience with ERP/accounting systems
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Brand Impact: Help grow an iconic brand into new markets
  • Career Growth: Opportunities to advance as the company expands across multiple states
  • Collaboration: Work alongside supportive leadership, finance, and operations teams
