Urban Edge Properties is a NYSE listed real estate investment trust focused on owning, managing, acquiring, developing, and redeveloping retail real estate in metropolitan communities, primarily in the Washington, D.C. to Boston corridor. Urban Edge owns 72 properties totaling 17.1 million square feet of gross leasable area.

The Marketing Manager will partner with the Sr. Director of Marketing and work with the EVP, Head of Leasing and in-house leasing team members to create effective digital and traditional marketing collateral, supporting the team in their leasing efforts. A successful candidate will be a self-starter who takes a proactive approach and is able to problem-solve, think critically, be detail-oriented, self-motivated and work independently. Relationship building internally and externally is a cornerstone of this role, the candidate should be able to communicate effectively across all levels. The position provides the opportunity for exposure to all aspects of the business with high visibility.

  • Partner with the Sr. Director of Marketing to shape and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy with an emphasis on leasing and revenue-generating content that drives growth, enhances brand visibility, and supports overall business objectives.
  • Lead monthly cross-departmental meetings to align content and milestones, driving departmental goals through targeted communication plans, digital marketing, public relations, conferences, events, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Manage and maintain the corporate website, partnering with external developers and internal stakeholders to prioritize enhancements that align best brand and SEO practices. Oversee digital marketing and website for four shopping centers, social media and content creation, and event support. Monitor and respond to property reviews across 70 properties daily.
  • Own and execute corporate social media efforts (LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook) by content planning, copywriting, and visual creation in Canva/ or with internal Graphic Designer. Monitor performance, analyze and report results, and provide recommendations based on insights.
  • Manage creation and execution of marketing materials to support leasing efforts, including brochures, flyers, digital listings, social media, email campaigns, lead generation, and events.
  • Oversee end-to-end planning and logistics for two annual large-scale conferences, including booth setup and maintenance with eternal vendors, event-related communications, and comprehensive logistical support. Assess departmental needs to enhance marketing collateral and deliver detailed analytical reports to measure event effectiveness.
  • Manage and maintain marketing budget by tracking monthly marketing income, monitoring expenses, and ensuring alignment with revenue goals. Support annual budget planning by gathering vendor quotes, researching new partners, and providing strategic recommendations to Sr. Director of Marketing.
  • Oversee invoice processing, vendor payments, new vendor requests, purchase orders, T&E and other documentation while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness in Marketing budget.
  • Manage external public relations consultants, briefing them on potential pitches and releases, providing information to help in drafting stories, and if applicable, liaise with tenant public relations representatives when partnering on PR.
  • Work with Graphic Designer to prepare presentations for all departments when needed, including but not limited to, pitch decks, presentations for board meetings, executive collateral, and more.
  • Manage weekly marketing team meetings, providing updates on all projects and managing a list of team-wide projects and initiatives.
  • Manage ad hoc projects with vendors. Examples include employee swag, promotional items and gifts, and more.

Skills and Qualifications:

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Proficient in Canva, social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook) and scheduling tools (Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar), MailChimp or similar, Placer.ai, Salesforce or similar, etc.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop preferred.
  • Knowledge of Marketing principles and methods including marketing strategy and promotion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Skilled in analytical thinking
  • Skilled in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High integrity and ethical standards

Education/Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Real Estate, or related field.
  • 5+ years of Marketing experience, 3+ in Commercial Real Estate preferred.
