Court Appointed Special Advocates of Sacramento County (CASA Sacramento), Sacramento, California, United States, 95828
Court Appointed Special Advocates of Sacramento County (CASA Sacramento) recruits and trains community volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children. As a CASA, you will work one-on-one with a child advocating on their behalf in the juvenile court and assisting them in obtaining all necessary services while they are dependents in the foster care system. With the extension of foster care until age 21, we also match advocates with young adults who will eventually transition out of foster care and welcome the support of a caring adult. We have opportunities to advocate for older youth, sibling groups and infants/toddlers. Bilingual volunteers and male volunteers especially needed. There will be five trainings for CASA volunteers in 2020/21. Please contact us and come to an orientation to learn more. Orientations are held montly, on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 6:00-7:00pm.
