Reports to: Supervisor of Transportation or designee Qualifications: Ability to read, write and to perform assigned duties Minimum experience as determined by the Board of Education Knowledge of bus passenger safety and effective discipline procedures Must pass 90-day probationary period
Responsibilities: Assist the bus driver in providing safe transportation of students. Assist the bus driver in maintaining student conduct on the bus. Assist young or disabled students in getting on and off the bus; including assisting with car seats, harnesses, seat belts, wheelchair locks, or other devices. Provide written records of violations of student conduct code to the building principal. Collect personal items left on bus and deliver them to the school secretary. Provide instruction to students regarding passenger safety and ensure that students wear their seat belts when the bus is so equipped. Assist and participate in scheduled emergency bus exit drills. Escort students to/from their homes, if necessary. Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee.

ontract Terms
Of Employment: 180-days a school year, hours determined by Supervisor of Transportation based upon busing and route needs
Salary : In accordance with the established TEAM Salary Guide currently $19 per hour

Effective September 1, 2011, The New Jersey First Act implemented May 17, 2011, requires all employees of a school district to reside in the state of New Jersey. Employees of the Morris School District hired after the effective date who do not reside in the State of New Jersey at the time of hire have one year from the effective date of employment to relocate their primary residence to New Jersey. Employees of the school district hired prior to the September 1, 2011 effective date of this Act are grandfathered and are not required to relocate to New Jersey.
