Your Role

Our team currently seeks a Proposal/Marketing Manager to support the group’s sustained success across multiple markets. The role involves collaborating with senior management and seller-doer leaders of our technical disciplines and supervising a small marketing, proposal, and graphics team. The Proposal/Marketing Manager will guide the overall marketing and business development process, manage the creation of materials that support marketing strategies, lead writing and editing for proposals, assist with event and conference planning, support customer satisfaction initiatives, and promote the company’s brand. The position requires office attendance, preferably in Marlborough, two days per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage and advance our marketing initiative
• Support and collaborate with our technical leaders to develop and implement marketing plans, presentations and proposals
• Enthusiastic participation in an innovative and creative environment
• Active engagement in business/social/professional organizations and events including trade shows and conferences that promote or generate business relationships
• Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising and promotional activities
• Development and maintenance of a database documenting the firm’s experience

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience coordinating technical and professional teams
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, English, Journalism, or Communications or a related field
• Excellent communication, technical writing and editing skills
• 10+ years of marketing experience, preferably in the engineering and environmental fields
• Experience preparing proposals for municipal, state, and federal clients
• Solid management and organizational skills
• Strong verbal communication and collaboration skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with clients and industry partners, and work as a member of various teams
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and periodic high-pressure/tight deadlines
• Proficient in the use of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
• Familiarity with graphic design software such as InDesign, Photoshop, Muse, and Illustrator
