Our client is seeking a Engineering Technician to support the development, assembly, and testing of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. This role involves working from engineering drawings, schematics, shop aids, and detailed work instructions to assemble, modify, and troubleshoot components and systems. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of supporting both repetitive and non-repetitive developmental assembly operations.
Perform assembly work using engineering drawings, sketches, and detailed instructions Conduct assembly operations of electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies on ordnance systems Assist engineers in developing mechanical and electro-mechanical designs, tests, fabrications, modifications, and assemblies Follow written and verbal work instructions accurately Work additional hours as needed, including weekends, to meet project demands Skills Required
Previous experience using hand tools Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Strong problem-solving skills and ability to complete solutions independently Safety, quality, and detail-oriented mindset Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office programs with the ability to learn new applications Ability to independently assemble electromechanical and/or electronic systems and prototypes from engineering documentation Collaborate with engineers and team members to identify, define, and solve developmental problems Minimum of 3 years of experience or equivalent in a precision manufacturing environment High school diploma, trade school, or equivalent Skills Preferred
Understanding of 3D CAD software Basic knowledge of GD&T principles
