Job Overview We are seeking an exceptional Security Architect to support project initiatives across M&As, Data, Cloud, and On-Prem security architectures. The Security Architect will collaborate closely with Development, Operations, Business Units, and Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure environments are secure, resilient, and monitored. The ideal candidate brings a broad technical security background with strong expertise in security design and architecture.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver best-in-class security architecture and patterns, leveraging industry reference models and standards. Drive the maturation of network, infrastructure, and data security capabilities, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and regulatory requirements. Act as a trusted subject matter expert (SME), advising on cybersecurity best practices and emerging trends. Provide SME support for M&A activities, ensuring secure integration and implementation across acquired entities. Collaborate with Data and Enterprise Architects to secure sensitive information through data masking, tokenization, and other advanced techniques. Document, communicate, and maintain security requirements, enabling secure design and development across business and technology teams. Identify cybersecurity risks and opportunities across domains, recommending actionable solutions to mitigate threats. Develop, review, and approve cybersecurity standards, validating control effectiveness in partnership with domain teams. Analyze emerging threats and vulnerabilities, implement mitigation strategies, and communicate risks to stakeholders. Perform additional duties as needed to ensure the success of the security architecture function.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in Cybersecurity. 7+ years in a technical infrastructure or systems role (data, networking, or system administration) prior to security specialization. 8+ years of hands-on experience with information security controls, guidelines, and standards (ISO27000 series, OWASP, CSA CCM, CIS 20, SOX, NIST).

Core Competencies

Strong consulting, communication, and consensus-building skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks while remaining calm under pressure. Flexible, self-driven professional with a proven ability to learn from feedback.

Preferences

CCSP, CISSP, GIAC, or other security certifications preferred. Deep knowledge of AWS core services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC) and security tools (Security Groups, ACLs, AWS Security Hub, AWS WAF). Experience securing scalable web architectures and distributed systems. Solid understanding of malware, emerging threats, attacks, and vulnerability management.
