Target seeks a Human Resources Expert who champions change, removes roadblocks, and builds diverse and inclusive talent strategies to support a guest-centric mission. The role supports teams and leaders to deliver a sales-focused experience and a place where teams enjoy working.
Responsibilities
- Work with your HR leader to anticipate and address talent and staffing needs for each area of the business, ensuring the right mix of experience and enthusiasm to deliver on in-store and digital experiences.
- Lead focused recruiting efforts to help store leaders hire candidates with the right skills and experiences to best serve guests.
- Support team member and leader training needs and advocate for continuous learning.
- Be an expert resource for scheduling systems and pay practices.
- Be approachable by listening to team members and collaborating with appropriate leaders to take action as needed.
- Deliver on Human Resources processes and programs to maximize team member engagement and minimize business disruption.
- Support leaders in following company compliance policies to mitigate risk to the team member experience.
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks.
- Assist guests by engaging in a welcoming way to address their specific needs.
- Thank guests and express appreciation for choosing to shop at Target.
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
- Work safely at all times; comply with safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
- All other duties based on business needs.
Qualifications
- You enjoy interacting with guests and fellow team members.
- You thrive in a fast-moving, highly active and physically demanding role where teamwork, flexibility, and problem solving are key.
- You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times).
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology as directed.
- Effective communication skills; ability to work independently and in a team.
- Ability to resolve guest questions quickly on the spot and follow multi-step processes with attention to detail.
- Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within timeframes.
About / Physical Requirements
- Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
- Lift product up to 10 pounds regularly without additional assistance.
- Capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing duties (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout).
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).
- Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends and holidays); reliable and prompt attendance is necessary.
