Position Summary
The Human Resources Assistant provides essential support to the Human Resources team across a wide range of functions, including team member relations, recruitment support, onboarding, communication, events, and record retention. This role serves as the first point of contact for visitors and team members, helping ensure a welcoming and professional HR environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors and team members at the HR office, providing guidance on applications, assessments, and general inquiries.
- Maintain front counter, lobby areas, kiosks, and HR office spaces to ensure they are clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Perform administrative duties, including maintaining employee records, data entry, preparing reports, and ordering office supplies.
- Manage team member and vendor badges, gaming licenses, and renewals.
- Support coordination of talent auditions, interviews, and new hire orientation.
- Assist with internal communication, including employee portals, hallway postings, and compliance with required federal, state, and local notices.
- Reserve training facilities, meeting spaces, and necessary audiovisual equipment.
- Assist with engagement, wellness, and retention events.
- Promote superior guest service in all interactions with applicants, team members, and guests.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in all HR and company matters.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two (2) years of experience as an HR assistant or coordinator.
- Strong guest service and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Human Capital Management Systems (HCMS), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Preferred
- Facilitation and presentation skills.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Standard office environment with exposure to a casino property setting.
- Mobility to move throughout the property and office as needed.
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and computer use.
- Exposure to secondhand smoke.
Schedule
Due to the dynamic nature of the hospitality and entertainment industry, team members must be able to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on property needs.
