Job Description
Provide department leadership with reliable data from trusted source systems that will empower and influence key decision making. Access and integrate data for reporting to establish data standards, quality and reliability. In partnership with senior department leadership and ICS this role will contribute and set strategic initiatives related to data and reporting needs.
Responsibilities
The Senior Data Analyst will work with both structured and unstructured data from multiple systems and will provide strategic insights to business leaders on data use and interpretation. This role provides strategic direction on data structure, data modeling, and dashboard and report design. Oversee continuous improvement for data and analytics processes, policies, and quality. This person will be highly analytical with the ability to communicate, interpret and visualize outcomes for Department Management.
Understand the Data Defining what the data is, where it is coming from, how it will be captured, and how it will be consumed Data Quality Assessment
Validation of data quality including sources, reliability, completeness, validity, and uniqueness Organize the Data
Address accessibility, usability, data modeling & structuring, aggregation, field definition & use, statistical validity, data warehouse creation Configuring Data for Accessing
Channeling the data to where it is needed, predictive/statistical modeling, query building, data sources, quality assurance Reporting
Using business requirements and analytic outcomes to tell the story, developing dashboards & reports that are actionable and measurable, quality assurance Security & User Acceptance
Audience access, viewing including how the data will be received, communications, instruction on data use Outcomes/Insights
Data that enables organizational leaders to make informed decisions. Non-Responsibilities

Qualifications
Education:
BS/BA Degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field.
Work Experience:
Minimum 5 - 8 years performing multiple system data validation, quality assessments, data modeling, data algorithms, and reporting.
Demonstrated Skills & Abilities:
Proven experience using business intelligence building dynamic dashboards
Intermediate/ advance skills using SQL for developing queries for complex analysis
Knowledge of cloud-base data warehousing to create extracts, transformations and queries
Proven experience using machine learning algorithms and statistical models to generate insights
Executive presence and presentation skills including data storytelling, Interaction with senior leaders with the ability to add value at a strategic level
Experience managing large scale data analytic projects
Work with minimal oversight and meets established deadlines
Delivers defined projects with little or no oversight
Problem solving, debugging/troubleshooting and designing solutions to complex issues
Thrives in both a team environment and as an individual contributor
Specific Certifications, Licenses:
Prefer data management, data analytics, or data visualization certification
