QA Technician - Food Manufacturing

Our client, a leading food manufacturing organization, is seeking a QA Technician to join their team. As a Food Quality Technician, you will be part of the Quality Assurance Department supporting the production and quality control teams. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title:
QA Technician - Food Manufacturing
Location:
Torrance, CA
Pay Range: $21-$25hr
Shift:
12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, Monday through Friday
What's the Job?
Assist production team leaders with issues related to non-conforming products and product holds
Record and document all product control transactions and initiate hold investigation forms
Help manage experimental product control and retest hold products
Perform weekly pre-operation inspections with the Sanitation department and GMP audits
Conduct line checks, metal detector calibrations, and verify product specifications throughout production
What's Needed?
Ability to learn and use software programs such as QDMS
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, and reaching
Excellent observation skills to monitor product quality and food safety standards
