Position Overview

The successful applicant will demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills. The Human Resources Manager will be responsible to manage, coach, and evaluate the performance of the Human Resources Coordinator. The ability to analyze, delegate and follow through on responsibilities within the department is an important and necessary skill set for the department manager. The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of human resources and the laws, regulations, and government reporting requirements associated with large employers. The Human Resources Manager will assist with developing and administering the facility's human resources programs and policies including staffing, compensation, employee relations, benefits, training, and health and safety. This position will have a strong emphasis on employee relations, including overseeing and providing guidance on employee coaching, corrective action, unemployment, and escalated employee complaints.

Key Responsibilities

The Human Resources Manager shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
  • (S)he will need to be a self-starter and able to work without direct supervision.
  • The successful applicant will need to be able to work well with others and coordinate activities with other departments and locations within the company.
  • (S)he must be able to work, as necessary, fifteen percent or more as overtime hours.
Required Qualifications
  • Previous experience in HR or equivalent experience in management required.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP, preferred.
  • Degree in Human Resources or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of Human Resources and the laws, regulations, and government reporting requirements associated with large employers.

  • Familiar with and understands Company's processes and procedures.
  • Experience leading a team to achieve a common goal.
  • Proficient with and enjoy detailed work.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to read and write English and perform basic math calculations.

  • Must demonstrate proficiency in essential tasks.
Working Conditions
  • May be required to wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in designated areas.
  • The employee may be occasionally exposed to wet / humid / cold conditions (non-weather).
  • The noise level in the work environment may be loud.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Overtime may be required based on the needs of the operation.
