Customer Technical Trainer
Location : Itasca, IL

We are seeking a Mechanical Training Specialist with strong CNC and technical expertise to train customers on advanced lens edging and precision machining equipment. This role combines hands-on CNC knowledge with a passion for teaching and helping others develop their skills in mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting disciplines.
Key Responsibilities Deliver technical training sessions (classroom, workshops, webinars, and one-on-one) on CNC and mechanical systems. Prepare training materials including presentations, worksheets, and technical guides. Conduct both basic and advanced training programs to enhance customer knowledge and proficiency. Support training during equipment installations at customer facilities and participate in trade shows as needed (approx. 20% travel). Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. Collaborate with technical teams to update training guidelines and materials. Assist with technical support activities to address customer needs. Maintain organization of training machines, equipment, and materials. Qualifications
High School Diploma required 2-3 years of technical training experience, ideally in CNC, mechanical, electrical, or troubleshooting environments. Hands-on experience with CNC systems and mechanical components including axis motors, ball screws, belt drives, and calipers. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams. Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Knowledge of modern training techniques and tools in technical subjects. Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
