Your Responsibilities Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and crafting bespoke care strategies Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic conditions in tandem with physician collaboration or independently, depending on your qualifications Educating patients and their families about preventative care, healthy practices, and disease management techniques Prescribing medications and treatments in alignment with your practice scope Engaging in patient follow-ups and managing chronic cases Working alongside interdisciplinary teams for cohesive and comprehensive patient care Accurately documenting patient interactions within electronic health records (EHR) Education Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program Necessary Certifications
Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in California National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or equivalent) from AANP or ANCC Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications or the ability to obtain them within 90 days Qualities That Shine
